I cannot remember a time when I didn’t take pictures or that I did not carry or have my camera with me. I have always loved the outdoors, walking, hiking and exploring; bringing my camera along was a natural progression for me.
Photography is my passion and I often say that I see the world through a different “lens” or as a series of “4 x6” shots. I love doing macro’s, (extreme close-up photography) landscapes, reflections, old cars, barns, buildings; Bringing them to life, capturing them from different angles with a different perspective.
To hone my skills I have taken several courses at Cambrian College (with Stacy Lalonde) in Sudbury as well as workshops through Canadore College (with Paul Cheviers) in North Bay, with Peter Baumgarten on Manitoulin Island, Brian Merry in Chetticamp, Nova Scotia and Don Komarechka from Barrie, Ontario.
I have been published many times in the Northern Life in Sudbury as well as the North Bay Nugget in North Bay along with several online Photography Magazines. One of my photographs was used for the cover of the 2014 (June) Yellow Pages Phone book for the Sault Ste. Marie/ Elliot Lake and Algoma District.
